I have been wanting to post about the topless and nude beaches of Paros. But then the new list of Blue Flag beaches came out so I will write about them first and use nudity as a teaser.

Also I have posted occasionally about various ways to work at home or on the beach. How would you like a job as a beach inspector? Someone has to do it. Blue Flag Beaches is a Danish organization that inspects and rates beaches all over the world. This year Greece came in second after Spain for having the most clean and well-maintained beaches.

Paros did it’s share with four rated beaches. They are Chrysi Akti, Kolibythris, Logaras, Tserdakia. Chrysi Akti is better known as Golden Beach. It is big, wide and sandy and full of windsurfers. Of course, Paros has something for everyone. Pounda Beach Club is crowded with young bodies writhing to the endless beat of base heavy rock music. North of Ambeles and South of Boutakis are quiet coves where you can find a small, private beach for just the two of you. Our favourite is Agri Irini which is out of the way (uncrowded) yet has a beach taverna. There are far too many beaches to list; many have unique characteristics such as Parosporos which is noted for it’s high waves.

For more of what our island has to offer visit our full service web site. Or check back frequently for an up-date on the topless and nude beaches of Paros.

For the facts above I need to thank Kathimerini News service and Jayne of Gadzooks humor. Jayne, by the way, has just started a new series of Greek cooking recipes—with metric and English measurements. Subscribe: greek-recipes-subscribe@domeus.co.uk
That is, send a blank e-mail to that address.
